Where Skomi differs from Plausible

We agree with Plausible about almost everything. Where we differ is scope.
Skomi covers apps as well as sites. Native SDKs for iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native, Unity and desktop report into the same account as your sites. Plausible is sites only.
Skomi shows you the page, not only the numbers. Heatmaps and session recordings are part of the same product, so "which page loses people" can be followed by "watch somebody lose it". Plausible does not do these, by choice, and it is not an omission on their part.
Skomi collects what your visitors say, too. Feedback boards, voting and a widget sit alongside the analytics, so the reason behind a number has somewhere to live.
Our script is bigger, because it does more. It is 11.7 KB gzipped, and here is what is in it. Plausible's is smaller, and if that matters more to you than heatmaps do, that is a real answer and Plausible is the better tool.

It is open source and Skomi is not. You can read every line, fork it, and run it yourself for ever. That is a genuine, permanent advantage, and if it matters to you it should probably decide this.
It is smaller, simpler and faster to understand. It has been around longer, with a track record we do not have yet. And its script is roughly a third the size of ours.

Choose Plausible if you want simple web analytics from software you can read and host yourself, and you do not need apps, heatmaps, recordings or feedback.
Choose Skomi if you want those things in one place and are content with hosted software.
