Refund Policy

Skomi is sold through Paddle, and Paddle's refund policy is the one that applies. Short version: 14 days from a purchase, requested from Paddle, plus any stronger right the law where you live gives you.

Skomi is operated by Skomi OÜ, registered in Estonia. Where these documents say "we", "us" or "Skomi", they mean that company.

Paddle is the merchant of record

Every Skomi purchase is sold to you by Paddle, not by us. Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice, handles the tax and is the party you contracted with for the transaction, so Paddle's refund policy governs refunds, and this page describes it rather than replacing it.

Their policy is published at paddle.com/legal/refund-policy and their buyer terms apply alongside it. Where anything here and anything there disagree, theirs is correct.

The window

14 days from the purchase. Some countries' laws set a different period, for example 7 days in Canada, Brazil, China and South Korea, and 5 days in Singapore. Where the law where you live gives you a stronger or longer right than this, that right applies instead. Paddle applies the highest level of rights available to you.

A refund also applies where the product has a material defect, or a technical problem that persists and stops it working.

How to ask

Request it from Paddle, using whichever is easiest:

  • the Refund link on the receipt Paddle emailed you;
  • Paddle's buyer portal at paddle.net, which finds your order from the email address you paid with;
  • Paddle's support, linked from that same receipt.

You can also write to us through the contact page and we will raise it with Paddle for you. Either route reaches the same place; going directly to Paddle is faster because they are the ones who process it.

An approved refund goes back to the payment method you used, within 14 days.

Cancelling

Cancelling and refunding are different things, and you can do both.

Cancelling stops the next renewal and is done from your billing page at any time. The period you have already paid for runs to its end and you keep full access until then.

Changing plan

Upgrading takes effect at once and is charged pro-rata for the rest of the term. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal, so you keep the plan you paid for until it ends.

Account credit

Credit is bought through Paddle like anything else, and the same policy applies to that purchase. Credit is held per currency and is spent in the currency it was bought in. Skomi never converts between currencies, so a balance in one cannot be paid out in another.

If you are an affiliate, or were referred by one

Commission follows a refund in proportion: half a refund takes back half the commission, and a full refund takes all of it. Where commission had already been paid out, it is offset against the next payout rather than invoiced back. There is nothing for the refunded customer to do about it.

Questions

Anything this page does not answer, ask through the contact page and we will answer it or put it to Paddle.
